Purple– It stands for elegance, mystery and supernatural. While the light shades of purple creates a light hearted and romantic vibe, darker shades are more intellectual. For instance, Yahoo logo offers an intellectual look.
Black– You want to prove the power and authority of your corporate identity and justify the high price of your products? There is simply nothing better than black to do this as it adds a premium feel to emblems. Some relevant examples are Adidas and Louis Philippe.
