Google Showcases Budding Indian Logo Designer’s Creation

Google occasionally changes the logo design to celebrate noted personalities’ birthdays and holidays. Today, 14th November, the search engine giant is celebrating Children’s Day with a custom doodle, but there is something special about this logo. Google Doodles are generally designed by Google’s own artists, but this one is created by an Indian student, Arun Kumar Yadav.

Arun is a class 9 student of Kendriya Vidyalaya from Chandigarh and he is the winner of this year’s Doodle 4 Google contest. The search engine giant announced the competition a few months ago for class 1-10 students and received more than 200,000 doodles from 1000 schools across the country. Eminent judges selected only 13 designs and finally the winner was selected by online voters.

The theme for this year’s contest was “Unity in Diversity” and Arun successfully brought that theme alive with his artwork. His doodle is titled “India – A prism of multiplicity”. It showcases our passion for sports, rich folk culture, intricately designed handicraft, biodiversity, dominance in agriculture and world famous spices and cuisines.

It’s certainly a big achievement for any budding graphic designer. The doodle will also be featured on Classmate’s drawing book and color pack. All the 13 finalists will receive a bag and Samsung tablet from the search engine giant.
